Join the Taulí Health Artificial Intelligence Symposium – THAIS

The Taulí Health Artificial Intelligence Symposium (THAIS) is a leading event that brings together healthcare professionals, researchers, and experts in artificial intelligence to explore the impact and applications of this technology in the healthcare sector. Through presentations, round tables, and case studies, the symposium promotes innovation and collaboration to improve medical care and health outcomes.

Following the success of the previous three editions, the Joint Unit between the Clinical Nephrology, Interventional and Computational Nephrology (CICN) research group at the Parc Taulí Research and Innovation Institute (I3PT) and the High-Performance Computing for Efficient Applications and Simulation (HPC4EAS) group at the UAB School of Engineering present the 4th THAIS on June 17 and 18, and the pre-symposium course on June 16.

The pre-symposium course aims to provide an intensive review of the main aspects of AI in healthcare, understand the steps and requirements when using this technology, and teach the principles necessary for research.

Objectives

• Answer the question of the impact it is having and will have on healthcare.
• What are the challenges to consider when researching?
• How far can this technology take us?
• Do we know its risks and limitations?
• Why is knowing the regulations no longer an option?
• Why do we need to think in "innovation mode"?
• What and how should we train ourselves?

The meeting will take a multidisciplinary approach, with the participation of clinical and engineering staff, specialists in health technology, ethics, and law, managers of public and private entities, and experts in innovation.

The topics will be presented in round tables by leading experts in the fields, with discussion panels to encourage interdisciplinary interactions and facilitate an educational yet critical perspective.

There will also be an opportunity to present papers, giving groups working in the field the chance to share their experiences.
