Mutua Universal drives its Corporate System of Artificial Intelligence with a complete governance model

 

Mutua Universal has presented its Governance Model of the Artificial Intelligence, an organisational frame, regulatory and operation integrated in the Corporate System of Artificial Intelligence of the company, that it will allow promote the use of this low technology safety criteria, ethics, transparency and compliance with standards.

 

The Model of Governance of the IA of Mutua Universal is governed for seven principles: the protection of the Fundamental Rights , preserving the human dignity, the equity and the not discrimination; the authorised use for corporate solutions; the risk management in accordance with the Internal System of Risk management of the mutual society; the human monitoring so that the IA acts always as a support in the decision making and never in substitution of the human responsibility; the transparency and reliability; the privacy of the personal details, confidentiality of the information and respect for the copyright; and the information security chord to the current regulations and to collected standards in the Safety policy of the Information of the organisation.

 

"The Model of Governance of the Artificial Intelligence of Mutua Universal, framed in the Strategic Plan 25-27 of the company, ensures that the deployment of this technology, strategic asset for the improvement of the efficiency and the productivity, is made low the most demanding safety criteria, ethics and transparency, guaranteeing at all times the human monitoring, the protection of the Fundamental Rights, the privacy of the details and the transparency of the systems", has declared Juan Güell Ubillos, Mutua Universal's General Director.

 

This governance model of the artificial intelligence, that it allows supervising everything the cycle of life of solutions of IA from the cases identification and evaluation of use until its implementation, constant monitoring and follow-up, leans on a Corporate Policy of aligned Artificial Intelligence with the European Regulations of IA, the standard of data protection, the National Security Outline and domestic policies of security and fulfilment of Mutua Universal.

 

For the design and implementation of this model, Mutua Universal has had the collaboration of the office of lawyers Andersen and 1MillionBot, that they have accompanied to the company in the definition of the frame of governance, the regulatory alignment and the adoption responsible for the IA.

 

Branch of Artificial Intelligence

The central piece of the Model of Governance of the Artificial Intelligence of Mutua Universal is the Branch of Artificial Intelligence (OIA), body person responsible for to define the corporate frame, to coordinate the implementation of initiatives of IA and to establish common standards for all the organisations. This structure is complemented with a decentralised network of local people in charge of IA, shaping a mixed model of governance that it combines corporate and deployment control operation.

To guarantee a suitable control and follow-up, the Branch of IA of Mutua Universal leans on different governing bodies specialised: a Strategic Committee of IA, responsible for define and to supervise the road map of this technology in the mutual society; an Ethical Committee of IA, person responsible for to look after the ethical use of the IA and I fill the of fundamental rights; and a Safety committee of the Information, aligned corporate structure with the National Security Outline that ensures the confidentiality, entirety, availability, authenticity and traceability of the information.

As a committed organisation that protects and it takes care of people contributing to the sustainability of the welfare state, Mutua Universal promotes the use of the artificial intelligence in key fields in the sector health, with the aim of improving the assitance quality, to optimise processes, to customise services and to work the advanced laboratory test, always low a scalable approach and aimed at the generation of real value for people.
