Metagenomics data analysis by Sequentia Biotech – #BHHMembersInitiatives

BHH member Sequentia Biotech is presenting, for the first time, an introductory course to metagenomics data analysis. This summer training is directed to professionals from different backgrounds that work in basic research or applied R&D that wish to broaden their knowledge on metagenomics data analysis.

This summer training will be taught by Andreu Paytuví, Sequentia’s Chief Bioinformatician and expert on the field. The program includes a review of the most important sequencing platforms, a summary of the different types of metagenomics analysis and the different bioinformatics approaches. The practical sessions will also include an analysis with QIIME2, taxonomy and function and metatranscriptomics.

In order to deliver a personalized learning experience, groups will be of maximum 7 trainees and an attendance certificate will be provided at the end of the course. The course will take place over the course of one week and will last a total of 17 hours (dates are yet to be confirmed).
