The call for the 2nd edition of the d·HEALTH Barcelona Part-Time program is now open!

Design Health Barcelona (d-HEALTH Barcelona) Part-Time is an 8-month program in a hybrid format for graduates, researchers and professionals who want to learn about entrepreneurship and innovation in healthcare. The program, inspired on Stanford University's Biodesign methodology, provides participants with the tools to develop a business idea based on a real unmet medical need identified in a clinical area of six top hospitals in the BioRegion of Catalonia.

The part-time hybrid format is perfect for individuals who are currently employed or pursuing studies, as it enables successful integration with their daily schedules.

What's in it for you?

  • Engage in a complete cycle of innovation and entrepreneurship in the healthcare and life sciences industry.
  • Identify and validate a genuine unmet clinical need during a 2-week clinical immersion at a TOP Catalan hospital.
  • Design a solution to enhance patient care.
  • Develop an initial prototype and a business model aligning with market demands.
  • Benefit from the expertise of leading academics and international healthcare innovation specialists.

If you are a designer, engineer, researcher, or business professional seeking to acquire skills in healthcare innovation, enroll in the 2024 d·HEALTH Barcelona Part-Time program. Discover how to contribute to the development of real-life solutions that can enhance patients' lives as part of a multidisciplinary team.

The d·HEALTH Barcelona Part-Time program is organized by Biocat with support from the Catalan Ministry of Health (Generalitat de Catalunya), Tech Barcelona and EIT Health. It also counts on the collaboration of Hospital Germans Trias I Pujol, Hospital Universitari de Bellvitge, Parc Taulí Hospital Universitari, Hospital Sant Joan de Déu, Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau and Hospital Universitari de Girona Dr. Josep Trueta
