Meet the team   

Cristian is President of Barcelona Health Hub, and CEO of Mediktor. For 19 years he held various top management positions in large companies before founding Mediktor, the most advanced AI-based medical assistant for triage and pre-diagnosis. In addition, he is an angel investor in more than 20 startups. He is an entrepreneur with more than 10 years of real-life experience immersed in the Digital Health Ecosystems in US, Europe and Latin America.

Eva is CEO at Barcelona Health Hub. She connects the members of the digital health ecosystem while promoting the BHH brand in Barcelona and beyond. Before her journey at BHH started, she worked in different sectors, such as Atrapalo.com, LetsBonus, Tech Barcelona and Shiseido. In her free time, she enjoys getaways in Northern Catalonia, gathering with friends and going to nice restaurants. She’s always looking for a moment to practice yoga and enjoy family life.

Luis is Vice President of Barcelona Health Hub. Previously, Luis was Managing Partner at COI, before being CEO Global Life at Zurich. He was a member of the leadership team at Zurich Insurance, top 100, and Executive Committee of Global Life, as well as board member of several companies at Zurich Group in Spain and Portugal. Previously Luis was CEO at Deutsche Bank Insurance Group and Deputy General Manager at Vitalicio of the Generali Group. Luis holds a law degree from the University of Barcelona, Master in Finance from Deusto Business School, Global Executive CEO program at IESE – Wharton – CEIBS, Pade at ESE and IMD Executive Management.

Oscar is not only Vice President & Chief Medical Officer of Barcelona Health Hub, but also Co-Founder and Chief Medical Officer of Mediktor. He’s a highly skilled medical professional specializing in Intensive Care Medicine. With more than 20 years of experience, he has made noteworthy contributions to the healthcare industry as a provider, participating in scientific publications and founding Mediktor. Oscar's expertise encompasses various areas, including medtech, medical big data management and AI training.

Marja Huiskamp is General Manager of Madrid Health Hub, a non-profit organization advancing innovation in digital health. With over 15 years of experience in strategic program management and stakeholder engagement, she builds ecosystems, fosters partnerships, and positions Madrid as an epicenter of digital health. Previously, she served as Chief Communication Officer at Barcelona Health Hub, where she successfully established the organization as a global household name in digital health. Before that, she led human rights initiatives at the Embassy of the Netherlands in Chile. As a dynamic public speaker, Marja is passionate about impactful communication, connecting with audiences, and making a lasting difference where it matters most.

Marta Santiago is the Director of Communications and Institutional Relations at Barcelona Health Hub. In her role, she leads BHH’s communication strategy and builds strong relationships with key stakeholders to position the hub as a global leader in the digital health ecosystem. Marta has extensive experience in strategic communications, having worked as Head of Protocol and External Relations at the Government of Catalonia and Head of Communications at Cercle d’Economia. She is currently an Associate Professor at Pompeu Fabra University. Marta holds a degree in Advertising and Public Relations and a Master’s in International Relations from IBEI (UAB-UPF-UB).

Júlia Sacristan is the Communications Executive at Barcelona Health Hub, where she takes on a 360º role combining advertising and public relations. Her goal is to communicate the Hub’s activities and promote its members, highlighting their initiatives and achievements. She holds a degree in Advertising and Public Relations from Universitat Pompeu Fabra and is currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration at the University of Barcelona.

Júlia oversees all design work and is responsible for the art direction of the Hub. She combines her expertise in advertising, specializing in advertising creativity and art direction, to craft captivating visuals and designs that define BHH's visual identity. Her focus on brand fidelity and creativity aims to transform BHH into an inviting and compelling organization, serving as an irresistible beacon of innovation in healthcare.

Eva is the Head of Open Innovation & Validations at Barcelona & Madrid Health Hub, where she selects innovative digital health solutions for clinical validation and connects health startups with the ecosystem. With over 15 years of experience in Innovation and Digital Transformation, she spent a decade at Telefónica, a global leader in telecom, and previously worked as an Innovation Consultant. Eva holds degrees in Psychology and Anthropology and founded a Social and Circular Economy business. Outside of her professional endeavors, she enjoys spending time with her child and caring for her cat.

Maria is Head of Open Innovation, playing a key role in driving and managing innovation initiatives. With a degree in International Relations and a Master's in Public Policies: Social Rights and Equality, she brings a global perspective to her work, enriched by experiences in countries like the USA and Lebanon. Maria coordinates innovation projects, fosters collaboration, and ensures new ideas are effectively integrated within the organization. Outside of work, she’s passionate about music, especially collecting vinyl records, and enjoys spending her free time reading.

Rubén is responsible for the finance at Barcelona Health Hub. He holds a double degree in Business Administration and Law from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. With over three years of experience in the Tax and Accounting Department of a consultancy firm, he brings valuable and great expertise to his role at Barcelona & Madrid Health Hub. His analytical mindset, dedication, and drive for excellence makes Rubén a key asset in driving the Hub's financial operations and supporting its mission of innovation in health.

Noa is the Events & Real State Manager at Barcelona Health Hub. She has over 15 years of experience in the comprehensive management of corporate, sports, and gastronomic events collaborating with top-tier brands. Resilient, solution-oriented, and highly skilled in commercial relations, Noa combines strategy and creativity in every project. She's passionated about people and her goal is to enhance their quality of life through memorable experiences. With values acquired through sports, such as discipline, teamwork, and perseverance, she stands out for her empathy, strong interpersonal skills, and leadership. Naturally curious and driven, she constantly seeks new opportunities for improvement while maintaining a strong commitment to excellence and sustainability.

Oriol is the Events & Real Estate Coordinator at Barcelona Health Hub, where he supports events and ensures the satisfaction of all members within the BHH digital health ecosystem. Currently pursuing a degree in Advertising & Public Relations, Oriol is a social and kind individual who thrives on challenges and collaboration. With his proactive attitude and commitment to excellence, he plays a key role in fostering connections and creating the best experience for BHH members. Oriol's enthusiasm for innovation and communication makes him an invaluable part of the team, driving the mission of Barcelona Health Hub forward.

Sandra Maita is the Office Manager at Barcelona Health Hub. 

Rafael is Board member of Barcelona Health Hub. He is a lawyer specialising in advising Foundations, Associations, NGOs and non-profit organisations. Rafael is proud to hold the position of secretary and/or vice-secretary in leading companies that are doing incredible things in the technological and digital field, forming part of important foundations and associations in Spain such as Barcelona Health Hub.

Roger is a Board Member of Barcelona Health Hub. He’s a technology enthusiast, entrepreneur and devoted programmer with a software architecture background. He started as a solution analyst consultant having the opportunity to learn and participate in a wide range of technologies for many different sectors. Eventually Roger became a technical leader helping companies and teams grow by using strategic technologies and methodologies.
