Discover how Mediktor is redefining the future of digital triage

OCTOBER 8, 2025 BHH News

Mediktor launches AI Medical Agent: digital triage “more human on the outside, just as clinical on the inside” powered by Gen AI technology from AWS.

  • The new conversational triage allows you to explain symptoms in natural language, be understood in your own language, and receive clear, empathetic questions and results.
  • AI Medical Agent keeps the rigor of Mediktor's CE/FDA-certified clinical engine intact and adds a conversational interface that reduces questions and speeds up assessment without compromising accuracy.
  • Direct impact on KPIs: fewer questions, faster and internationally scalable.

Barcelona, October 1, 2025. Mediktor, a world leader in digital triage based on clinically validated artificial intelligence, launches AI Medical Agent, a disruptive evolution that unites the rigor of its clinical engine with the fluency of Large Language Models through Amazon Bedrock, the LLM tool of Amazon Web Services (AWS). With this step, Mediktor fulfills its founding vision of offering a technology capable of conversing like a doctor.

The healthcare industry is in the midst of a digital transformation. Patients expect more natural and closer interactions, and it is important that healthcare organizations do not compromise on clinical

rigor or regulatory reliability. The challenge facing organizations today is to deliver a quality, empathetic and secure user experience.

"Digital triage is a key tool for any healthcare organization and requires a complex balance: on the one hand, patients who expect more seamless, closer experiences in their own language. On the other hand, public and private healthcare providers and insurers who demand clinical rigor, data security and regulatory compliance. The sector is in the midst of exploring LLMs, with many immature tests that generate risks of “medical hallucinations” and lack of traceability. This is where Mediktor sees an opportunity to bring to market a disruptive solution that marks a before and after in digital triage," explains Cristian Pascual, founder and CEO at Mediktor.

With customers in more than 35 countries and international certifications (CE/FDA), Mediktor has consolidated its clinical engine as a leader in reliability and rigor. Now, with the addition of a conversational layer powered by LLM, the company is taking another step towards a more human, accessible and efficient digital triage.

The “LLM to converse, clinical engine to decide” approach aims for a new triage standard. The more human experiences facilitated by the use of natural language in conversation with AI, encourage usage, reduce time and improve guidance to the right level of care from the first contact. Traceability of every decision, isolation of clinical reasoning and strict adherence to privacy reduce risks, while multilingualism and seamless integration with existing systems facilitate secure and scalable access. Together, these elements enable more timely and consistent decision making, essential for patient safety.

According to Roger Forcada, CTO at Mediktor: "AI Medical Agent has been designed with safety as a priority. The new tool converses with the user in a more natural and empathetic way thanks to LLM, but medical decisions remain always in the hands of Mediktor's validated clinical engine, thanks to the layered architecture that allows the different tools that make up this product to be separated. This means that there is no risk of errors on the part of the generative AI, as it is only in charge of facilitating the conversation." In addition, we comply with European and international data protection regulations and ensure that each evaluation is secure, accurate and respectful of patient privacy," he explains.

The launch of AI Medical Agent took place recently through an exclusive event for customers, where all the details of the new product were shown and the testimony of the first customer to use the tool was shared, as well as the future plans with early adopters. Among the attendees were leaders from the healthcare sector, who were able to learn first-hand about the impact of this innovation in digital health.

New paradigm of business: More than satisfied first-time customers

The company, F/A/Q Health, connects with young people on sensitive health-related topics in a very authentic, natural and accessible style and has been one of the pioneers in the use of AI Medical Agent. For, Jan-Lucas Panskus, Head of Digital Platform at FAQ YOU, "Our brand tone is direct and colloquial, but the usual medical tools are too formal and distant. In a short time, we successfully launched this Symptom Checker for ITS adapted to our brand and our users' expectations. The result is a tool that young people can relate to, that is easy to use and reliable, that offers accurate medical guidance and speaks their language, like a real conversation. Mediktor's technology and support were instrumental in making this possible."

The new era of digital triage

  • More human: seamless, natural, multilingual interactions that reduce abandonment and improve patient adherence.
  • Just as clinical: Mediktor's validated engine keeps traceability, accuracy, and security intact.
  • Scalable and secure: Amazon Bedrock by AWS ensures compliance with regulations such as GDPR/HIPAA, without compromising data privacy.
