HM Hospitales Research Foundation & Madrid Health Hub create the 1st Digital Health Solutions Validation Center in the Community of Madrid
HM Hospitales and Madrid Health Hub have signed a collaboration agreement to promote the transfer of innovation to the healthcare sector. Through this agreement, the group becomes part of Madrid Health Hub, reinforcing both organizations' commitment to digital transformation, research, and the development of innovative solutions to improve healthcare and optimize clinical processes.
As part of this alliance, the HM Hospitales Research Foundation (FiHM) and Madrid Health Hub will establish the first Digital Health Solutions Validation Center in the Community of Madrid. This innovative space will be dedicated to the clinical evaluation of digital health technologies, enabling startups, scaleups, and large corporations to validate their solutions with high-quality standards at a competitive cost.
The center's goal is to ensure the feasibility, safety, and efficacy of new healthcare technologies, facilitating technological transfer in the health sector. Under the supervision of FiHM professionals and with the support of Madrid Health Hub's infrastructure, this space will provide companies with access to structured and reliable validation processes.
A joint framework for innovation
The agreement, signed by HM Hospitales President Dr. Juan Abarca Cidón, Luis Badrinas, Vice President of Barcelona & Madrid Health Hub, and Dr. Alberto Muñoz, President of FiHM, will create a collaborative framework where HM Hospitales, as a leading healthcare provider, and Madrid Health Hub, as a health innovation ecosystem, will develop initiatives focused on implementing new technologies, validating disruptive solutions, and fostering synergies between companies and healthcare professionals.
HM Hospitales: A strategic partner for clinical validation
Through this agreement, HM Hospitales will act as a strategic validation center for innovations developed by companies linked to Madrid Health Hub. This collaboration will accelerate the integration of new technologies into the healthcare ecosystem, enhancing care quality and supporting a more efficient and connected health system. At the same time, Madrid Health Hub and Barcelona Health Hub strengthen their national hospital network, boosting collaboration between healthcare centers, startups, and tech companies.
Luis Badrinas, Vice President of Madrid Health Hub, emphasized that "this collaboration represents a significant step in our mission to connect digital health ecosystem players and accelerate the adoption of innovative solutions that positively impact the healthcare sector."
"For HM Hospitales, contributing to the digital development of a more efficient, technology-driven, interconnected health system that serves individuals, society, and corporations is fully aligned with our purpose and corporate values. With this step, we reinforce our position as a leading player in the healthcare system, particularly in validating technological innovations in health," said Dr. Juan Abarca Cidón.
Driving digital transformation in healthcare
Several lines of collaboration are planned, from identifying real sector needs to designing and validating technologies in clinical environments. Additionally, both entities will work together to promote projects that bring startups and tech companies closer to the hospital environment, helping to develop a more efficient and connected healthcare system at local, national, and international levels.
This initiative marks a key step in accelerating digital transformation in the healthcare sector, facilitating the integration of new technologies into the healthcare ecosystem, and improving the quality of patient care.
