INVOX Medical strengthens its leadership in AI adoption for medical documentation
In 2024, artificial intelligence (AI) has established itself as a key solution to the many challenges facing healthcare systems worldwide. AI's capabilities in generating clinical notes and analyzing medical images are among the most widely adopted use cases. According to Medscape, 36% of hospitals are already using AI to automate patient documentation.
One of the leading companies driving the development and adoption of these solutions is VÓCALI. Through its AI-powered suite, BHH & MHH member INVOX Medical, the company provides healthcare professionals with advanced speech recognition and artificial intelligence solutions, enabling them to focus on patient care rather than data entry. INVOX Medical supports medical staff across various healthcare settings where administrative work consumes valuable time.
Doctors can now look patients in the eye during consultations
Since March last year, following the launch of INVOX Medical Genesis, Spanish, Catalan and Portuguese-speaking physicians have been able to say goodbye to manual data entry during consultations. Developed by VÓCALI, this AI-driven system listens, transcribes, and comprehends doctor-patient conversations, automatically generating a draft medical report that the physician only needs to review and validate.
"In 2024, we introduced a new solution to the market, opened a new office in Brazil, and reached 600 healthcare organizations that benefit from our technology," says Juan Salvador Castejón, CEO of VÓCALI.
Technological enhancements and new use cases
2025 is expected to be the year when AI-driven documentation becomes mainstream in healthcare services. For this to happen, seamless integration with hospital information systems and further optimization of AI technology—ensuring greater accuracy, speed, and security—are essential.
According to Pedro Vivancos, Director of Strategy and Innovation at VÓCALI, INVOX Medical is already working in this direction, planning the launch of new solutions for additional use cases where healthcare professionals spend significant time on documentation.
"With 15 years of experience in the healthcare sector, we have the expertise to adapt new AI techniques into practical solutions for critical challenges. We are confident that we can give time back to healthcare professionals, freeing them from spending nearly half of their workday clicking and typing," says Pedro Vivancos.
Future and exponential growth
To fulfill its mission, VÓCALI has launched an investment round to continue enhancing its technology, developing new solutions, and expanding geographically.
"We currently serve clients in 21 countries, with dedicated teams in Spain, Argentina, and Brazil, as well as a strong network of distributors. In 2025, we aim to launch new solutions, strengthen our international team, and solidify the INVOX Medical brand on a global scale," concludes Juan Salvador Castejón.
