MSD in Spain joins Barcelona & Madrid Health Hub to drive digital health innovation
MSD in Spain has signed an agreement to join Barcelona & Madrid Health Hub, taking another step forward in its commitment to digital health innovation, an area in which the Company has been working for some time.
Barcelona & Madrid Health Hub aims to drive digital health innovation and facilitate its transfer to the sector by connecting startups, healthcare organisations, companies and investors. The Hub serves as a point of connection between the different stakeholders in the ecosystem and has more than 600 members from over 70 countries, fostering collaboration, knowledge sharing and the development of new initiatives.
Joaquín Mateos, Medical Director of MSD in Spain, said: “We are at a particularly important moment, in which we understand innovation from a broad perspective that encompasses not only areas such as vaccines and medicines, in which we have extensive experience, but also artificial intelligence and the digital ecosystem. In this context, we have signed this agreement with the aim of continuing to move forward, raising the visibility of these initiatives and helping to channel, structure and shape new ideas.”
This collaboration will enable MSD and Madrid Health Hub to promote knowledge sharing, the development of new capabilities and connections with the various stakeholders in the ecosystem, fostering an open innovation model based on collaborative development and the exchange of technologies and solutions.
