OVIANTA lands €540K to simplify doctors’ workflows

Say hello to Barcelona & Madrid Health Hub member OVIANTA, the Barcelona-based startup using AI to make everyday life easier for doctors. They've just raised a €540,000 pre-seed round, backed by First Drop, Itnig, and Encomenda. This fresh funding aims to grow the team and keep refining their tech but for OVIANTA, this is still just the beginning.

All about everyday efficiency

Healthcare may be at the cutting edge of treatments and equipment, but doctors still depend on outdated software for day-to-day tasks. OVIANTA's AI-driven approach structures and organizes clinical data, easing the burden of heavy documentation without ever taking over a doctor's decision-making. Their tech complements existing hospital systems and medical platforms rather than replacing them.

"Doctors juggle tons of unstructured data and have to make quick decisions. If we can make their job even a bit easier, the impact is huge," says Alex

The people behind OVIANTA

Alejandro's background includes a pharmacy degree, an IESE MBA, and more than a decade in healthcare and pharma. Rubén, co-founder and CTO, brings 20 years of tech know-how, having led projects both nationally and internationally, including his time as CTO at Playtomic.

"We see massive opportunities in healthcare. Large language models that handle unstructured data will be key to helping doctors" notes Rubén.

Next steps

Currently focusing on private clinics and hospitals, OVIANTA is ramping up product development and user adoption. They're hiring new talent in tech and sales to accelerate their vision. For OVIANTA, this funding round is a means to push ahead—building an indispensable tool for every doctor. Future rounds aren't off the table, but right now, it’s full speed ahead on delivering a simpler, smarter consultation experience for healthcare professionals everywhere.
