Electronic devices have become an integral part of many people’s lives. In today's digital age, managing stress while working remotely has become crucial. Constantly staring at screens without proper well-being measures can be challenging for many. Although remote work has its merits, it's essential to address certain aspects for a healthier work-life balance, as BHH member Healthy Work states in this article.

  • Screen time impact on mental health

Research suggests a correlation between screen time and mental health. Spending prolonged hours in front of screens can lead to emotional and physical strain. It contributes to stress, anxiety, depression, reduced focus and attention span. It may also lead to sleep disturbances, social isolation, and decreased overall well-being. It's vital to recognize the relationship between excessive screen time and its effects on our health. This spreading phenomenon is also known as digital burnout.

Promoting responsible screen time is another significant aspect. Encouraging employees to take regular breaks, adopt proper posture, and invest in ergonomic equipment can enhance their emotional and physical health while working remotely.

  • Establishing frequent and healthy communication in your team

Communication is key to a successful remote work setup. Encouraging open, two-way conversations between employees and managers can foster a supportive environment.
