The Corporation and Barcelona Health Hub sign a collaboration agreement to drive innovation in digital health
The Corporació de Salut del Maresme i la Selva and Barcelona Health Hub, a non-profit organization committed to driving digital health innovation and transferring it to the healthcare sector, signed a collaboration agreement this Wednesday. This agreement aims to promote knowledge sharing, dissemination, and innovation in digital health within the healthcare organization, as well as to jointly develop projects.
Dr. Ramon Cunillera, General Manager of the Corporation, emphasized the significance of this agreement, stating that it is crucial "to foster and advance knowledge and create solutions that continuously improve people's health." This collaboration aligns with one of the eight strategic objectives of the organization's new Strategic Plan: to establish the Corporation as a center for knowledge, education, research, and innovation, while also promoting process and technological innovation by supporting new projects.
The agreement was officially signed at Calella Hospital by Dr. Ramon Cunillera, General Manager of the Corporation, and Eva Manrique, Specialist in Innovation and Digital Validations at Barcelona Health Hub. Manrique highlighted the importance of this agreement, stating, "This collaboration is key to connecting the digital health ecosystem and facilitating the transfer of knowledge and innovation into the Catalan healthcare system."
Following the signing, an event was held to introduce the organization's digital health group, featuring a roundtable discussion with healthcare sector partners presenting their innovation initiatives. The event included representatives from TicSalut and the Health Innovation Network of the Girona Region, as well as INVOX, a startup that is part of Barcelona Health Hub, which shared its experience in the digital health sector. Additionally, representatives from the Catalan Health and Social Consortium – Inexes and the Girona Biomedical Research Institute (IDIBGI – Dr. Josep Trueta) were invited to participate.
