The Impact4kids Acceleration Programme has launched

DECEMBER 5, 2024 BHH News

BHH member i4KIDS is thrilled to announce the launch of Impact4kids, an international acceleration programme designed to drive innovation in paediatric and maternal health. This unique initiative is the result of a collaboration between i4KIDS, the paediatric innovation hub of Sant Joan de Déu Barcelona Children’s Hospital, and Impact1 at Stanford Biodesign.

What is Impact4kids?

Impact4kids is a six-month programme aimed at supporting projects that address critical unmet needs in paediatric and maternal health. If you are working on disruptive technological solutions such as medical devices, biotechnology, digital health, or healthcare services, this is your opportunity to gain expert guidance and access to a global network of innovators, researchers, and mentors.

By joining Impact4kids, you will benefit from:

  • Personalised training on clinical validation, regulatory pathways, and market access in both the US and Europe.
  • Individualised coaching to validate unmet needs and refine development and implementation strategies.
  • Immersion in international ecosystems to connect with innovation networks across continents.
  • Networking opportunities with key experts and mentors in the field.

Who can apply?

The programme is open to startups, companies, and research projects based in the US or Europe, provided they meet the following criteria:

  • Focus on foetal, neonatal, paediatric, or maternal health.
  • Propose innovative solutions in the proof-of-concept stage (TRL 3-6).
  • Have at least one full-time team member and commit to participating in 80% of the programme activities.
  • Have less than $5 million in total funding.

Submit your application by 26 January 2025!
