4YFN - Interview with Teamit
Barcelona Health Hub will shine again at 4YFN 2024, the startup business platform at the Mobile World Congress. The BHH Stand will take the center stage at the Digital Health Area, where you can connect with influential leaders, visionary investors, and the brightest minds in the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
One of the companies you can meet at 4YFN is BHH member Teamit. They're a research management organisation.
Teamit builds strong multistakeholder partnerships across the public and private sector and provides transversal expertise for impactful health science. They offer a diverse set of knowledge and experience across areas like project and scientific management, communications, multi-stakeholder engagement, regulatory science, real-world evidence, training and education, quality and risk management and sustainability and exploitation.
Eva Molero, CEO of Teamit, is happy to share about their expectations for this next edition of 4YFN.
- Eva, thank you for joining the BHH Stand at the upcoming edition of 4YFN. Can you please introduce yourself and tell us about Teamit?
My name is Eva Molero, and I have been involved in innovative health research initiatives for over 20 years. I founded Teamit nearly four years ago and it has been an exciting ride so far. Our team has grown steadily to include a culturally diverse set of employees with different ages and expertise backgrounds.
Our vision is to empower collaborative research and innovation for a healthier future.
To achieve this, we partner alongside varying health ecosystem stakeholders to foster changes that can allow us to bring solutions closer to real societal needs. For example, this could be providing services like consortium management, aligning the interests of diverse stakeholder groups to pursue a common goal. It could also be conceiving and executing audience-specific communication strategies to raise awareness or to develop exploitation plans to ensure translation of research into real-life solutions. Indeed, we are here to ensure that the full life cycle of a health research project, programme, institutional initiative or study is implemented optimally and with the highest chance of positive real-world impact.
To date, we have been fortunate to have collaborated with partners like:
- Large European hospitals
- The European Medicines Agency
- Pharmaceutical companies
- Patient organisations
- Universities and research centres
We participate in projects and studies on:
- Safety of COVID-19 vaccines
- Respiratory syncitial virus
- New clinical trials paradigms
- Development of immunotherapies
- Repurposing of drugs
- Effects of pharmaceuticals in the environment
… and many more! In fact, we have had the pleasure to work alongside more than 120 partners and manage a portfolio value of projects and studies combined of an approximate 140M€.
- Can you elaborate about what’s new at Teamit these days?
We are in a very promising period with new and exciting opportunities coming our way. This year, we have started implementing a 3-year strategic plan to build upon our past milestones and learnings and ensure our continued, growing impact across the entire health ecosystem.
- This is your first time at the BHH Stand in the Digital Health Area of 4YFN. Could you share why you decided to join Barcelona Health Hub this year?
We are excited to be joining the lot of other amazing companies at Barcelona Health Hub. The calibre of knowledge, expertise and offerings is inspiring. And, we believe that we can only gain from meeting and collaborating with those who share a common vision for a healthier future.
- It’s still a few weeks away, but what are you excited about at the upcoming 4YFN conference? What can we expect from your stand?
This is our first time at 4YFN, and we are excited to meet and discuss with different health ecosystem stakeholders. This will be an opportunity to gain some insights about their needs and, hopefully, demonstrate why partners continue choosing Teamit every year.
With respect to our stand, we’re still working on final details. But for sure it will provide the chance to have a chat and explore opportunities of collaboration with representatives from clinical research organisations, universities or pharmaceutical and MedTech industry.
- Is there anything else you want to share with us?
Only that we’re looking forward to meeting everyone at the 4YFN!
If you’re interested in meeting Teamit, don’t hesitate to visit the BHH Stand in Hall 8 during the whole week from February 26th-29th. Mark your agenda for the upcoming edition of 4YFN and meet Teamit. Barcelona Health Hub is already looking forward to meeting you!
