Break the Gap: the speakers, mentors and jury + Finalist projects

JUNE 30, 2025 Events of the ecosystem

GooApps introduces the team of speakers, mentors, and jury members who will shape the Break the Gap: AI for Health & Sport Summit 2025, an event that strongly champions female leadership as a driving force for change in the health and sports sectors. While participation is open to teams of any gender, all core training and strategic content will be led—except for a few exceptions—by women experts in technology, medicine, design, investment, sports, and business.

This year’s edition kicks off with three online public sessions on July 3, 10, and 17. During these sessions, key figures such as Elena Dolinski (UkandoitGlobal), Macarena Daher (Read Your Body), Mónica Granda (Siembra Capital), Lourdes González (Fundación ONCE), Mar Navarro (USA Launching Pad), and María de la Luz del Valle (Biobizkaia), among others, will address topics including user-centered design, digital accessibility, investment strategy, internationalization, clinical innovation, and elite sports technology.

In parallel, the eight finalist projects—four in each vertical: health and sports—have already started a free acceleration program valued at €10,000, which includes hands-on training and personalized mentoring. They will be supported by more than 15 expert mentors, including Claudia Ben-Dov (InnHealthium), Guio González (Guiometrics), Alba Arroyes (Institut de Recerca Sant Pau), Beatriz Vilar (Law4Digital), Diana Navarro (European Commission), and Montse Pérez Bárcena (strategy and marketing consultant).

The jury, also composed of prominent women in healthcare, science, technology, and business, will be responsible for evaluating the proposals based on technical feasibility, real-world impact, scalability, clinical applicability, and economic sustainability. Leaders such as Tatiana Cuartas (SAMU Asturias), Montserrat Rivas (University of Oviedo), Henar Muñoz (ISPA), and María González (University of Oviedo) will ensure a rigorous evaluation grounded in practical experience and deep sector knowledge.

With this strong network of women experts, Break the Gap 2025 reinforces its position as a purpose-driven innovation ecosystem, where technology is built from experience, guided by strategic vision, and rooted in social responsibility. This edition puts the spotlight on real-world solutions, female talent, and transformative opportunities in digital health and sport.

And now we know the names behind the eight finalist projects. After receiving dozens of proposals, the jury has selected those with the greatest potential to address urgent and relevant challenges in the fields of health and sports.

In the health vertical, the selected projects are RheumaLink, a digital platform that improves care for people with chronic rheumatic diseases; Polagi: A Life for Balance, focused on reducing chronic migraine episodes through artificial intelligence and healthy habit tracking; CON-TACTO, an app that enables anonymous notification of STI diagnoses to sexual contacts; and MyMind, a mental health application that uses AI, biometric data, and clinical tests to anticipate emotional crises.

In the sports vertical, the selected projects include Oncologym, a training, nutrition, and coaching app tailored to cancer patients; 15mets, a solution focused on prescribing physical activity to enhance longevity and quality of life; TwinH, a personalized AI-powered digital human twin that acts as a coach; and Sport For All, a training platform that promotes the inclusion of people with disabilities in sports practice.

These teams are currently participating in the Goo Ventures acceleration program, which will culminate in the in-person final in Barcelona on September 9 and 10. In addition to presenting their solutions, finalists will have the optional opportunity to receive a €50,000 equity investment to scale their proposals.
