Connect & Learn: TECSAM Network and Bridge the Gap on EIC Funding Opportunities

The TECSAM Network and Bridge the Gap are organizing the 2nd Edition of Connect & Learn, a session for startups and innovation projects in health and mental health, with a special focus on European Innovation Council (EIC) funding opportunities.

During the session, participants will learn about the three main EIC instruments:

• Pathfinder, aimed at early-stage disruptive research;
• Transition, designed to turn research results into applicable innovations;
• Accelerator, focused on scaling startups through combined grant and equity funding.

The training will provide practical guidance to access these European instruments and enhance project growth and impact.

9:00 – 11:00 CET: Training with Bridge the Gap and Q&A

• How to build a funding strategy considering TRL, BRL, and co-funding requirements from public funds.
• Key aspects to know before applying for European public funding: budget, grant ratio, eligible activities, and evaluation criteria.
• Strategies for preparing a solid innovation funding proposal: transitioning from research to innovation projects, writing style, and key content.
• Public funding opportunities for startups in the European Union: Cascade funding, Eurostars, and the European Innovation Council (EIC).

11:00 – 12:00 CET: Virtual networking
The session will be organized into themed virtual breakout rooms.
