DiarioSalud Meet Barcelona, organized by the prestigious media outlet specializing in the Hispanic-American healthcare industry, DiarioSalud, was a resounding success, establishing itself as a crucial event for progress and innovation in the healthcare sector.

Held at the emblematic Barcelona Health Hub, located in the Recinto Modernista Sant Pau, the event brought together leaders and experts from the Americas and Europe to discuss cutting-edge topics and generate opportunities in medicine.

The event began with a welcome from the CEO of BHH, Eva Rosell, who explained the hub's objective, which is to connect startups, healthcare institutions, corporations, and other key players in the healthcare ecosystem to drive digital transformation in medical care.

The meeting was a showcase for innovation and knowledge in healthcare, where participants discussed a wide range of crucial topics, from medical education and research to healthcare investment and patient empowerment. This event not only allowed for a valuable exchange of ideas but also promoted collaboration between professionals from different regions.

The founder of DiarioSalud, Miguel Sainz, stated, "The objective of this event is to connect healthcare leaders and visionaries from LATAM and Europe, fostering an exchange of perspectives. By creating a space conducive to establishing strategic alliances, the possibility of accelerating key transformations in global health opens up, optimizing joint efforts to generate a significant impact."

During the day, Dr. Marcos Núñez, president of the Pan American Federation of Associations of Medical Schools (FEPAFEM), provided a comprehensive overview of the evolution and challenges of medical education in the Americas. The agenda included interactive panels and debates led by renowned experts such as Dr. Jordi Martínez Roldan, Patricia Ripoll, and Dr. Jordi Serrano Pons, who discussed key topics such as the transition in medical education, hospital innovation, and the integration of health with the environment.

In the panel "Hospitals as Engines of Innovation," Dr. Mar Gomis, director of the Center for Clinical Validation of Medical Technologies at Sant Pau, emphasized the importance of public-private collaboration with technology and pharmaceutical companies for the safe and effective use of healthcare technologies, in addition to the need to streamline innovation and validation processes to overcome barriers such as lack of knowledge and data protection.

DiarioSalud Meet Barcelona also explored key topics such as healthcare investment in LATAM, led by Paulette Antigua De la Cruz, and the crisis of human capital in healthcare, with Dr. Marisa Haron as the speaker. These panels offered valuable perspectives on how to face current challenges and seize opportunities in the sector.

DiarioSalud Meet Barcelona stood out for its hybrid format, which allowed for global participation and facilitated access to a wider audience. The online broadcast expanded the reach of the event, with an attendance of over 300 people, allowing the DiarioSalud community and interested parties from around the world to engage in the discussions and debates.

The event was attended by the Consul of the Dominican Republic in Barcelona, Antonio Gómez Peña, and Lorenzo Sancassani, counselor in charge of the Commercial, Investment, and Tourism Affairs Section of the consulate.

This event was a unique opportunity to connect with industry leaders, share knowledge, and forge strategic alliances that will drive the transformation of the healthcare sector on a global level.

DiarioSalud Meet Barcelona was supported by PMFarma and Digital Health Connector Spain. For those who wish to relive the highlights of the day, the full event is available on DiarioSalud's YouTube channel HERE.
