Don't miss EUPSF's Patient Safety Conference

Don't miss the Patient Safety Conference 2024, organized by the European Patient Safety Foundation (EUPSF). This annual event, which brings together experts and leading organizations dedicated to improving patient safety across Europe, will be held in Madrid, Spain on November 8th.

This year's conference will focus on the theme Enhancing Patient Safety through Digital Innovation: The Missing Links. Despite the clear potential of technological advancements to improve patient outcomes, significant gaps remain that prevent these solutions from being fully realized in healthcare settings. The discussions will center on identifying and addressing these missing links.

An important part of the conference will address the Fighting Fatigue Together campaign, which focuses on the well-being of healthcare professionals. Coordinated by EUPSF and led in Spain by SECA, FIDISP, SENSAR and Fisabio, this campaign involves over 20 organizations and 88,000 healthcare professionals. It aims to raise awareness about the risks associated with healthcare worker fatigue and promote strategies for improvement. The campaign has recently been honored with the European Health Leadership Award 2023, recognizing its significant contributions to healthcare worker well-being.

In addition to exploring digital innovation, the program will cover five priority themes:

• Healthcare Worker Well-being and Safety
• Patient Involvement
• Culture and Safety
• Leadership and Teamwork
• Implementation

Each session will include insights from Spanish representatives to provide a local perspective.
