IDEA Design reaches a new European milestone in healthcare design
IDEA Design has reached a new milestone in the iF Design Ranking 2022–2026, placing 11th among 76 European design and architecture studios in the Medical/Healthcare category, and ranking as the leading Spanish company in this classification.
The iF Design Ranking measures accumulated results from the last five years of the iF DESIGN AWARDS, identifying the brands, companies and studios that have achieved sustained recognition over time.
For IDEA Design, this recognition reflects a long-term commitment to one of the most demanding fields of design: product development applied to health.
Designing for MedTech and healthcare means making decisions with real consequences. These decisions affect safety, usability, manufacturability, validation, clinical adoption and the confidence of the people who will ultimately use the product.
In this context, design is not understood as a final layer of the process, but as a way to structure complexity. It helps translate scientific knowledge, technology and innovation into solutions that can be understood, manufactured, validated and brought closer to the market.
IDEA Design's public profile on iF Design currently includes 6 iF Awards, contributing to its position in the ranking. This milestone adds to a broader international track record, with more than 30 design awards received over the last five years, strengthening the company’s positioning in design, innovation and product development.
Beyond the awards, this recognition is connected to the company’s way of working: supporting companies, startups and institutions from early-stage uncertainty to the materialisation of real products. Products that must respond to human needs, technical requirements, industrial processes, regulatory criteria and business objectives.
In healthcare, every detail matters because every detail can influence the experience, safety or viability of a solution.
IDEA Design shares this milestone with the MedTech and HealthTech ecosystem as a sign of its commitment to responsible, rigorous and impact-oriented design.
When medical technology becomes a product that is understandable, reliable and ready to be used, design has fulfilled an essential part of its role.
