NIHR grants £1.5 million to SuperPenguin to transform stammering care in the UK
BHH member SuperPenguin is pleased to announce it has secured £1.5 million in non-dilutive funding, further supporting the National Health System (NHS) in the UK in delivering enhanced care.
SuperPenguin, a newly rebranded platform (previously BeneTalk), marks a new chapter in speech support, designed to empower Speech and Language Therapists (SLTs) to reach more families. Building on previous successes, SuperPenguin aims to boost children's confidence, alleviate anxiety for families, and enhance NHS service efficiency across the UK by reducing waiting times for SLT services.
The previous version of SuperPenguin has proven invaluable, being the sole app available for stammering support in the UK. Following its impressive integration into 15 NHS trusts within a year, SuperPenguin has secured £1.5 million in funding from the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) to expand its reach nationwide within the NHS.
