Together with 40 biotechs, BHH joins Health BioMatch, a 'speed dating' meeting organised by BioIncubaTech and Bioga - #BHHMembersInitiatives

Around 40 companies and agents from the biotechnology sector from Galicia, Catalonia, the Basque Country, Asturias, Madrid, Aragon, Valencia and Portugal participated in Health BioMatch, an online meeting organised by the High Technology Incubator BioIncubaTech and the Clúster Tecnolóxico Empresarial das Ciencias da Vida (Bioga). The aims was to to foster the generation of professional relationships and collaborative projects. The biotech ecosystem players who attended Health BioMatch held short one-to-one meetings to boost business opportunities in the healthcare sector. It allowed them to get down to specifics without wasting too much time on superficial matters. "This model, developed by Bioga for years to promote relations between companies, increases the chances of success when it comes to achieving some kind of business collaboration," says Loli Pereiro, manager of Bioga. Loli points out that "the event was focused on promoting and seeking synergies in the field of health. In the coming months we will see if these contacts can lead to collaboration agreements and future business." The almost forty organisations that participated in Health BioMatch were the Centro de Investigaciones Científicas Avanzadas (CICA) de la Univesidade da Coruña, Tecnalia, Futuver, Abyntek, Sciengementlab, Bic Gipuzkoa, Xtraven, ProtoQSAR, Inesctec, Fujifilm, Datasalus, CancerAppy, Biorepos, Keralty, Bioingenium, Biocrew, Arahealth, Angulas Aguinaga, AgrotecUV, Tekniker, Mestrelab, AMSbiopharma, Doctomatic, Instituto de Investigación Sanitaria Galicia Sur, Ecolagunas, Kaudal, Dreamgenics, Dinamiza, Inveready, Biobanco, Azierta, Sistemius, Instituto de Ingeniería del Conocimiento, Centro Singular de Investigación en Tecnoloxías Intelixentes (Citius), Indominus, Hifas da Terra, Bflow, Keybiological, and, of course, Barcelona Health Hub. Barcelona Health Hub joined BioIncubaTech and Bioga for this project, with the aim of strengthening ties with other biotech ecosystems. The event was presented by its General Manager Eva Rosell. Those in charge of inaugurating Health BioMatch were José Luis Villaverde, director of the Area of Valorisation, Transfer and Entrepreneurship of the USC; and Loli Pereiro, manager of Bioga. Then came the one-to-one meetings, in which participants got to know each other and had the opportunity to create a network of contacts, while generating new business opportunities and facilitating effective business development.
