BHH members AcceXible, Aimentia and Berdac win Expansión Startup Awards

Last week, the Expansión Startup Awards presented its second edition. These awards seek to recognize the most innovative emerging companies that are having the greatest impact in their respective sectors. They brought together more than a hundred representatives of the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Barcelona and recognized 18 emerging companies that are positioning themselves among the most promising in Spain.

Barcelona Health Hub is very proud to share that all winners in the category “Health & Biotechnology” are members of our ecosystem.

AcceXible won the first prize. A speech analysis platform based on AI models designed by AcceXible allows the analysis of vocal biomarkers with those that detect and track diseases related with cognitive impairment, like dementia dementia, parkinson and coronary disease, among others. The alert model of this startup can offer an early diagnosis.

Second place was for Aimentia. Aimentia develops solutions with artificial intelligence for professionals to improve their capacity and efficiency, at the forefront of mental health. Only verified and selected professionals have access to ‘Aimentia Health’ to maintain high quality standards, which helps to combat the pseudo-scientific intrusion.

Berdac achieved the third place. Berdac was born to avoid forgetfulness and errors in the taking of medication. The start up has created a Dispenser Intelligent Drug Delivery (IMA) that alerts the user about the time of take the medication. The patient should only press a button to get it, and thanks to its sensors, IMA detects if you have forgotten something, alerting the family members or caregivers.
