HLAnalytics closes an oversubscribed €750,000 seed round to boost AI in operating rooms
The Hub's member HLAnalytics, a leader in healthcare innovation, has successfully closed an oversubscribed seed funding round, raising €750,000. This investment will accelerate the company’s mission to revolutionize surgery through IoT and artificial intelligence (AI), enhancing efficiency, safety, and quality in operating rooms.
HLAnalytics’ AI-powered platform automatically tracks and collects data during surgical procedures, including patient positioning, material usage, equipment utilization, and real time compliance with protocols. This enables more surgeries per day, reduces wait times and delays, and minimizes material usage, ultimately improving efficiency. By automating data collection, the platform frees healthcare professionals to focus on patient care, enhancing communication and decision-making.
The technology optimizes hospital space utilization, reduces surgical waitlists, and streamlines operating room scheduling, improving resource efficiency. Additionally, it provides real-time support to surgeons, helping identify risks and ensuring high levels of precision and safety during procedures.
HLAnalytics is already working with leading hospitals such as Clínica Diagonal in Barcelona and Clínica 3Torres, and has recently started a new project at Clínica Rementeria in Madrid.
The oversubscribed round attracted strategic investors, including Namarel, BRAINCATS (led by Dr. Frederich Llordachs), the impact investor network of Ship2B Foundation, and Sprinkler Capital. This funding will enable HLAnalytics to expand its platform’s reach and continue developing innovative solutions for the healthcare sector.
Mauro Batesteza, Co-Founder and Co-CEO, commented: "This investment is a key step in bringing artificial intelligence to the heart of surgery, enhancing care quality, and making operations safer."
HLAnalytics plans to expand across Europe and Latin America, transforming the way surgeries are performed and managed while continuing to build partnerships with healthcare and academic institutions.
