Madrid Health Hub is part of Barcelona & Madrid Health Hub, a non-profit association dedicated to accelerating innovation in digital health and its adoption across the healthcare sector.

With more than 600 members including startups, corporations, healthcare providers, universities and investors, our mission is to connect the key players in healthcare innovation and help transform the future of health.

As Madrid Health Hub continues to grow, we are looking for two Innovation Developers to join our team.

Role Overview:

As an Innovation Developer, you will help connect healthcare organizations, corporations, startups, investors and public institutions to drive innovation in healthcare. Based in Madrid, you will work closely with the Open Innovation team located in Barcelona and play an active role in developing and executing innovation initiatives across both hubs.

This role combines ecosystem development, open innovation and business development. We are looking for someone who enjoys building meaningful relationships, identifying opportunities and helping grow the Madrid Health Hub ecosystem.

This is a newly created position. We are looking for someone who enjoys building, creating structure and taking ownership. If you are looking for a highly structured environment with clearly defined processes and routines already in place, this role is probably not the right fit. If you enjoy identifying opportunities, taking initiative and helping shape how things are done, you will thrive here.

Key Responsibilities:

Open Innovation & Ecosystem Development

  • Support the design and execution of open innovation initiatives connecting corporations, healthcare organizations and startups.
  • Identify opportunities for collaboration across the Barcelona & Madrid Health Hub ecosystems.
  • Facilitate introductions and matchmaking between startups, corporates, hospitals, investors and other stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the growth and engagement of one of Europe's leading digital health ecosystems.

Business Development & Ecosystem Growth

  • Identify and engage potential new members, partners and strategic collaborators that can contribute to the growth of Madrid Health Hub.
  • Develop relationships with startups, corporations, healthcare providers, investors and public institutions.
  • Identify opportunities for sponsorships, innovation programs, strategic partnerships and ecosystem initiatives.
  • Support the growth of Madrid Health Hub's community, coworking spaces, offices and innovation activities.
  • Represent Madrid Health Hub at meetings, networking events, conferences and industry gatherings to generate new opportunities.
  • Work closely with the leadership team to identify and develop new growth opportunities for the organization.
  • Understand partner needs and identify opportunities for collaboration and innovation.
  • Support the creation and execution of communication activities that promote Madrid Health Hub, its members and innovation initiatives.
  • Take on a variety of responsibilities beyond the core role as needed in a growing and entrepreneurial organization.

Innovation Programs & Events

  • Coordinate startup scouting activities, innovation challenges, pitch sessions and corporate-startup engagement initiatives.
  • Support the organization of workshops, networking activities, company visits and innovation-focused events.
  • Represent Madrid Health Hub at industry events, conferences and ecosystem gatherings.

Research & Market Intelligence

  • Monitor digital health trends, emerging technologies and innovation initiatives.
  • Support the development of reports, ecosystem insights and innovation-related content.
  • Contribute to identifying new opportunities for growth and collaboration.

Processes & Ways of working

  • Drive continuous improvement of Operational Intelligence (OI) processes and ways of working, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, collaboration, and overall performance.
  • Manage and optimize HubSpot, including workflow automation, data quality, reporting, and process standardization to support business objectives.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Strong interest in innovation, digital health, healthcare transformation and entrepreneurship.
  • Experience in innovation, partnerships, business development, consulting, healthcare, startups or ecosystem building is highly valued.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of initiatives.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and proactive attitude.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English, Catalan and other languages are valued.
  • Experience working in international environments is a plus.

What We Offer

  • The opportunity to work at the forefront of healthcare innovation.
  • A highly international environment with members from more than 45 countries.
  • Direct exposure to startups, healthcare organizations, corporations, investors and public institutions.
  • A unique opportunity to help shape the growth of Barcelona & Madrid Health Hub.
  • Close collaboration with the Barcelona Health Hub team and access to one of Europe's most active digital health ecosystems.
  • A dynamic role with significant autonomy, ownership and room for professional growth.
  • The job description is subject to changes and may evolve over time and in response to changing circumstances. The role exists as part of a team and all staff are expected to be flexible in supporting colleagues, particularly at busy times.
  • Salary: €26–28K
