Dental Residency, a leading company in oral health services for dependent people or people with mobility problems, takes an important step forward with its evolution towards Lura Care, the new brand under which it will offer new services and promote its expansion plan in Europe.

Since 2015, Dental Residency has been working to bring oral health services to residences, day centres and private homes, aiming to ensure dental care for dependent people or people with mobility problems who cannot go to a dental clinic to receive the care they need due to their situation.

Now, the company has taken an important step forward with its evolution towards Lura Care, the new brand under which it will provide three lines of services in oral health (Lura Dental), optics (Lura Vision) and audiology (Lura Hearing), offering new coverage through its residential care model to these especially vulnerable groups.

Lura Care‘s model is based on mobile health services in residences, day centres or private homes to avoid transfers of patients whenever possible. Its team of professionals, specialized in gerontology and care for people with functional diversity, travels to the centres with all the necessary approved portable material or with a Mobile Unit to carry out the treatments, with all the guarantees of quality, hygiene, and patient safety.

Currently, Lura Care offers services to more than 1,000 residences and day centres, in addition to home services, and since the beginning of its activities it has served more than 100,000 patients. These figures consolidate Lura Care as the leading company in the sector in Spain, where it has 8 operating centres in 7 regions, and where this year the forecasts are to have served more than 6,500 patients.

But these needs are the same throughout Europe, so it has planned to expand its model internationally. In January, the company opened an operating centre in Milan, from which it provides service in northern Italy, and is immersed in the regulatory process for the upcoming opening of a centre in the London area as an entry to the United Kingdom.

It also plans to begin its activity in Germany in 2024, as well as enter other European markets over the following year. Lura Care objective is that in 5 years it can offer healthcare coverage to more than 2 million people, with 25 operating centres in 4 countries, and serve more than 300,000 people each year and perform more than 70,000 treatments.
