Discover ACOE: The Educational Management Revolution from the Department of Health of the Generalitat de Catalunya

The ACOE mobile app, developed by BHH member Doonamis for the Generalitat de Catalunya's Department of Health, is designed to simplify and improve the management of test evaluation for MIR (Medical Intern Resident) students. This successful tool is a clear example of how applications can help in the field of health and education. Its key functionality is broken down into two main parts:

On one hand, through a web management panel, students can be registered and linked to their corresponding tests. On the other hand, by using the mobile application on an Android tablet, the faculty can take notes and evaluate the performance of students during the tests.

In addition to these main functions, the ACOE app offers additional benefits, such as:

  • Management of evaluators, students, and tests in an agile and dynamic manner. This system allows administrators to assign evaluators to students and link corresponding tests quickly and flexibly.
  • Collection of student performance on Android tablets in offline mode and subsequent transmission to the central system. The mobile app, compatible with Android tablets, enables evaluators to collect data on student performance even in environments without internet connection. Once the internet connection is available, the collected data is automatically synchronized with the central database.
  • Obtaining results and generating reports. The system allows for obtaining the results of conducted evaluations and generates detailed reports on student performance.

It is important to highlight that the application has been developed using native Android technology, specifically Kotlin. Kotlin is a programming language that enhances developer productivity by reducing the amount of code required and minimizing errors. In summary, the combination of the ACOE mobile application and Kotlin technology offers an efficient and reliable solution for managing test evaluations for MIR students.

Having a mobile application with features like those offered by the ACOE app from the Department of Health of the Generalitat de Catalunya allows more efficient and effective management of test evaluations for MIR students, while providing access to up-to-date and detailed information to support informed decision-making.
