ASHO Recognized as a Benchmark in AI-Powered Coding at the 17th AMACC Congress
ASHO Wins AI Coding Challenge at 17th National Clinical Coding and Audit Congress
Barcelona, March 2026 – Catalonia-based health tech company ASHO has been named the winner of the challenge held during the national event on Clinical Coding and Clinical Audit, organized by the Asociación de Médicos y Codificadores Clínicos (AMACC).
The congress brought together healthcare professionals, experts, and companies over the weekend to discuss current challenges in clinical coding quality, health audit, the use of clinical data in healthcare governance, and the opportunities offered by artificial intelligence (AI) applied to these processes.
In this context, ASHO won the challenge organized by AMACC, competing against other leading companies in the sector, including Solventum and Priberam, among other specialized firms.
Ruth Cuscó, Managing Director of ASHO, commented: “This recognition is a significant boost for our entire team and confirms our continuous work to improve the quality, accuracy, and strategic value of clinical coding.”
ASHO’s participation in the national congress organized by AMACC reflects its commitment to technical excellence and continuous improvement in the healthcare sector, as well as its dedication to promoting more efficient management models based on high-quality data.
“Clinical coding and auditing are essential for transforming healthcare systems. Incorporating innovation and AI-based tools is not just a technological opportunity, it is a responsibility to ensure reliable, high-quality decision-making,” concludes Cuscó.
