ASHO takes on part of the clinical coding at the Hospital Universitario 12 de Octubre
Madrid, April 2026.- The Hospital Universitario 12 de Octubre has awarded a contract to ASHO to support its service for coding care episodes, following an open simplified procurement procedure.
The project, with a base budget of €82,320 (excluding taxes) and an estimated total value of €139,944, will be carried out entirely in Madrid. It was awarded without European Union funding, and submissions were handled exclusively through an electronic procurement process, which concluded on 27 January 2026.
The contract will support the standardisation and classification of clinical data, contributing to more accurate and efficient coding of patient care episodes.
According to Ruth Cuscó, Managing Director of ASHO, the project reinforces the company’s commitment to quality in clinical data management and continuous improvement in healthcare delivery, while providing technical support and expertise in clinical coding.
In addition to improving data accuracy, the service is expected to help optimise certain hospital processes and facilitate more reliable clinical and administrative decision-making.
Cuscó also expressed pride in contributing ASHO’s experience and technological solutions to the Hospital Universitario 12 de Octubre, supporting a more organised and safer healthcare system for both patients and professionals.
