Angelini Pharma, a leading international pharmaceutical company in healthcare, has signed a collaboration agreement with one of Europe's leading technology hubs, Barcelona Health Hub. The aim is to accelerate the digital and technological transformation of the sector and to cooperate in the transfer of knowledge between the different agents in the healthcare ecosystem.
The alliance with this benchmark institution, which promotes knowledge, dissemination and innovation in digital health in the region, lays the foundations by which both entities undertake to participate in the development and implementation of various training and dissemination activities promoted by the hub.
In this way, Angelini Pharma will provide the vision and knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry to face the future challenges and opportunities of the sector. It will promote various actions to develop the enormous potential of the start-up ecosystem and establish new synergies with reference entities in innovation and health research such as hospitals and universities, among others.
For Angelini Pharma, "the strategic alliance with the largest association of digital health centres in Europe, Barcelona Health Hub, provides us with a fundamental channel to promote the digitalisation and innovation of the sector. Thanks to this benchmark meeting point, we will be one step closer to the different agents involved in the digital and technological acceleration of the sector and, therefore, we will play a more active role in the transformation of healthcare, participating from all possible approaches," explains Olga Insua, CEO of Angelini Pharma Spain.
Eva Rosell, General Manager of Barcelona Health Hub, highlights: "With this agreement, Barcelona Health Hub consolidates and strengthens the incorporation of new members within its association to promote synergies between the start-up ecosystem and health research and innovation centres. This is yet another step that demonstrates the association's commitment to growth in 2022".
