Teladoc Health, with over 5,000 employees worldwide, has its international headquarters located in the city of Barcelona.

Teladoc Health, the world's leading virtual care company, with revenues of 2.6 billion USD in 2023, joins Barcelona Health Hub. This non-profit association aims to advance innovation in digital health and its transfer to the health sector. BHH fosters interaction between its 500+ members, including startups, public and private healthcare institutions, universities, large corporations and investors to accelerate the digital transformation of the health industry. The Hub is recognized as an international reference centre in digital health, attracting innovation and talent. With this decision, Teladoc Health strengthens its commitment with the city of Barcelona, from where Teladoc Health leads all non-US markets.

With Teladoc Health's presence, the city of Barcelona solidifies its position as a hub of technological innovation in healthcare, a place from where to lead the digital transformation of the healthcare system. Additionally, a year ago Teladoc Health inaugurated in the city an Innovation and R&D hub for Data Science, with the support of ACCIÓ (Generalitat de Catalunya), which provides services to the whole global organization.

Currently, from its operations in Barcelona, the company directly employs more than 800 people and it is involved in key projects such as the development of applications and services to provide virtual primary care and mental health, projects to improve access to healthcare in rural populations, develops solutions to provide top leading remote intensive care support and monitoring to regional hospitals, as well as enabling primary care centers with remote access to secondary care through the use of telemedicine as it is the case with its partnership with Hospital Sant Joan de Déu.

"We are excited to partner with Barcelona Health Hub and support our common mission to accelerate the adoption of virtual care, helping more people access high-quality medical care, anytime, anywhere", explains Carlos Nueno, International President at Teladoc Health.

Eva Rosell, CEO of Barcelona Health Hub, states, "Having Teladoc Health join our community is a significant step forward for Barcelona Health Hub. Their pioneering work in virtual care and strong focus on innovation resonate with our core mission to revolutionize digital health. This collaboration will undoubtedly strengthen Barcelona's position as a leading center for healthcare technology and innovation."
