Kālida bets once again on BHH and opens office at the BHH headquarters

MARCH 21, 2024 BHH News

BHH member Kālida Foundation has recently moved to the BHH Headquarters. The foundation promotes a psychosocial support model for people with cancer, their families, and caregivers. Its goal is to create centres located within walking distance of oncology services of leading public hospitals in cancer treatment, in buildings specially designed to create a warm, comfortable, and welcoming atmosphere.

The decision of Kālida to move into the Hub is, first of all, the result of a concrete and very operational need: to have more physical space for the management team and fundraising of the foundation at the time that the Kālida Sant Pau center becomes exclusively a care space for psychosocial support to people with cancer.

Secondly, it is the natural step for an entity that was born within the Sant Pau Hospital Campus. Although their vision is to expand by creating centers like Kālida Sant Pau in other hospitals in the country, they believe that their future growth has to be projected from the Campus Més Sant Pau since the genesis and consolidation of the organization could only become a reality here.

It will allow them to be part of a broad ecosystem of organizations from which they hope to learn and explore new ideas to innovate and offer high quality comprehensive psychosocial support to people living with cancer in ways and from perspectives that even now are hard to imagine. It is a unique opportunity to take advantage of the potential that the BHH offers them in its mission to accompany the process of digital health development.

With their presence at BHH, they hope to weave strategic alliances that contribute to improving the welfare and quality of life of people with cancer, their families and environment and continue to promote their vision of opening a Kālida Center next to the country's public cancer centers of reference. Likewise, they hope that you will help them find innovative solutions to their psychosocial needs, guaranteeing complementarity with medical treatments and their unwavering commitment to the humanization of health.

Joan Reventós, Director of Kālida Foundation, states that "Barcelona is becoming a global reference in the healthcare sector and BHH is one of the pillars of this transformation. For Kālida, being part of this ecosystem is a unique opportunity to establish new partnerships, innovate and find solutions that contribute to improving the well-being and quality of life of people living with cancer."

Eva Rosell, BHH’s CEO, shares that "Kālida Foundation moving into the BHH headquarters marks a pivotal moment in our shared mission to advance innovation in digital health. Together, we envision forging strategic alliances, fostering innovation, and ultimately, improving the quality of life for individuals and families affected by cancer. This synergy exemplifies our unwavering commitment to the humanization of health."
