Kick-off of the DonaTIC 2022 Awards: Digital Policies opens the call for the eighth edition of the awards - #BHHMembersInitiatives
APRIL 8, 2022
BHH News
The Department of the Vice-Presidency and Digital Policies and Territory has today kicked off the eighth edition of the DonaTIC Awards, which have the dual aim of recognising the fundamental role of women in the professional, business and academic world of new technologies, and of providing references for girls and young women to encourage them to study and, in the future, work in STEM disciplines (science, technology, engineering and mathematics).
Nominations for these DonaTIC Awards, which are divided into eight categories and two sub-categories, can be submitted until May 23. The awards are grouped into three areas: professional; academic and revelation; and dissemination and benchmark initiatives.
The nominations submitted will be evaluated by a jury made up of prestigious professionals from the technology sector, from the academic, business, institutional and associative worlds. The jury will have a technical committee, which will evaluate the candidatures and choose a maximum of six semi-finalists for each of the categories, and an honour committee, which will select the three finalist candidatures and the winner in each category.
Once again, the presentation of the DonaTIC 2022 Awards will coincide with Ada Lovelace Day, which is celebrated on the second Tuesday of October every year in recognition of the first female programmer in history. Therefore, the DonaTIC 2022 Awards ceremony will be held on October 11th.
