Meet Xavier Jofre, BHH's brand new Digital Transformation Director

OCTOBER 5, 2022 BHH News

Barcelona Health Hub is proud to announce that Xavier Jofre has joined the BHH Team as the brand new Digital Transformation Director. Xavi will shine his light on innovation and the technology transfer to the health sector. You will probably hear more from him soon!

Xavi, welcome to Barcelona Health Hub! We are very happy to have you on board. Could you please tell us a little bit about yourself? Who is Xavier Jofre?

First of all, I would like to thank BHH's Eva Rosell, Luis Badrinas, Cristian Pascual and Oscar Garcia-Esquirol for trusting me and giving me the opportunity to be part of this awesome project. Last but no least, I would like to thank Eduard Martin and his team for helping me grow as a person and as a professional. Without a doubt, I wouldn't be here without their help. Well, let me tell you that I could say that I live between a fuzzy and a techie world! I am a person with great curiosity to continue learning, capacity to adapt myself to work in new environments and projects and passionate about new challenges related to business development, innovation and digitalization.

Moreover, I am a strong believer that success is based on team work. I am focused on business, innovation and strategy management with over fifteen years of experience helping different kind of companies (from multinational to family-owned) and sectors such as new technologies, pharma, banking, trading and media & entertainment to design, develop, deploy and validate (economically and technological) strategic solutions with the aim to improve internal operations, their core business and also identify new business solutions with the goal to make the company bigger.

Furthermore, I have also been an entrepreneur, so I am definitely aware of how difficult it is to implement ideas from zero. All this experience has provided me the opportunity to learn different methodologies, strategies and points of view.

What will you bring to Barcelona Health Hub? I will bring a lot of energy, creativity and mad ideas (laughs).

As I mentioned at the beginning of the interview, I will bring a point of view from both worlds. Humanistic and technological. So I hope I will be able to help BHH and the health ecosystem in the process of digitization. Helping them to design, deploy, test and validate new digital solutions in order to improve customer experience, internal operations among other things.

What challenges and opportunities do you foresee? There are a huge amount of challenges and opportunities within the health ecosystem. However, in my opinion the biggest challenge is to improve the patients quality of life. Regarding opportunities, there are a lot of opportunities to become an international hub of reference in the health ecosystem.

Where do you want to take Barcelona Health Hub in the future? I want Barcelona Health Hub to become a relevant partner inside the international health ecosystem.
