Oracle and Barcelona Health Hub announce partnership to accelerate digital health innovation across the globe

Innovation is a team sport. That is just one of the many things we agree upon, and a big reason why we are so excited about this new partnership. Oracle for Startups and Barcelona Health Hub (BHH) are passionate about increasing the innovative ways startups and corporates can work together to accelerate the possibilities for the healthcare sector and humanity. The pandemic exposed massive issues in healthcare and punctuated the urgency for digital health transformation. Launched in 2018, BHH’s mission is to accelerate the transformation in digital health through collaboration between startups and its 300+ members, including multinationals, private and public healthcare institutions, investors, and universities.   Since its launch in 2017, Oracle for Startups has been dedicated to reimagining startup-corporate relationships, enabling collaboration and co-creation to supercharge innovation. Oracle brings its vast technology resources and industry expertise to BHH’s ecosystem, strengthening digital healthcare evolution through leading-edge technology, enterprise resources, and industry expertise.  Oracle’s focus on the healthcare sector, underscored by the Cerner acquisition announcement, furthers its commitment to the broader health industry.  The partnership will allow Oracle to support more startups by giving them access to the latest technologies and connections into larger healthcare organizations. But that’s just scratching the surface. They’ll find cross-collaboration points across the startups in Oracle’s program and those in the BHH ecosystem, and they will reach new innovators, students, builders, and inspiring founders. Together, we can contribute more talent, technology, and teamwork into this vibrant and growing global ecosystem.  While Oracle has many strategic priorities in mind for the partnership, they are excited to get started right away with some big events. As always, they’re collaborating with startups along the way, including startups: Xpert AI, Edryx Healthcare, Mediktor, Doole Health, Sense4Care, MatchTrial, Nammu, STALICLA R&D, Medxat, IOMED Medical Solutions, Ayo, Xpeer Medical Education, Gloria Digital, BITAC, MeetingDoctors, Robin Hat, and Qualud.

Oracle joins the #BHHExpo at 4YFN with a booth on Monday, February 28 – Tuesday, March 1.
  • Telemedicine Panel, Mobile World Congress (March 3, 10am CET): Covid has forced telemedicine adoption, which is a global trend that is here to stay. But how are these solutions evolving? What are the main trends? What does telemedicine 2.0 looks like? Discover this and much more in this #BHHPanel about telemedicine! Moderated by BHH President Cristian Pascual, panelists include Silvia Raga, CEO and Co-Founder of DyCare; Victor Vicens, Chief Medical Officer of Abi Global Health; Ricardo Barbosa Blanco, Digital Health Design and Research Officer at DKV; Justin Anderson, CEO of Xpert AI; and Alexandra Ehrlich, Healthcare Innovation Specialist at Oracle.
BHH’s global ecosystem of more than 300 members accelerates knowledge, dissemination, innovation, and research in digital health, while helping establish Barcelona as the capital of digital health. The city is bristling with talent, tech, and teamwork, and that will be on full display during Mobile World Congress.   Oracle believes in helping startups, and in turn startups are helping all of us. It’s a virtuous cycle of innovation. The BHH ecosystem, alongside partners like Oracle, provide the connective tissue where startups can collaborate with larger organizations, accelerate ideas, complement technologies, and solve global problems together.  As the late, great Steve Jobs said: “Innovation distinguishes between a leader and a follower.” Together, we’re creating an ecosystem of global leaders that are driving innovation, and startup ingenuity is leading the way.
