Roca Group and Barcelona & Madrid Health Hub Join Forces to Drive Digital Health Innovation in the Bathroom of the Future
Roca Group and Barcelona & Madrid Health Hub have signed a collaboration agreement aimed at advancing the development of the bathroom of the future — a space with a strong digital component where both products and the environment itself can help identify and monitor health-related aspects. The partnership will allow Roca to engage with the Hub’s digital health ecosystem to detect and drive innovations with practical applications.
Barcelona & Madrid Health Hub is a non-profit association that promotes digital health innovation and connects start-ups, organizations, companies, hospitals, and investors. Its mission is to facilitate technology and innovation transfer. Through this collaboration, Roca aims to integrate into this ecosystem — including leading universities and research centers — to accelerate projects in this field and validate new bathroom-related solutions.
The main objective of the partnership is to identify innovations that can be applied in real-world bathroom settings; test proposals in medical contexts; pose challenges to start-ups for the development of bathroom-specific applications; and strengthen Roca’s commitment to the digital health ecosystem.
The project is based on a strong conviction: the bathroom of the future will have a pronounced digital component, and both its products and the space itself can contribute to identifying and monitoring health-related issues.
As a partner of Barcelona & Madrid Health Hub, Roca Group will also participate in the Health Revolution Congress, Southern Europe’s largest health innovation congress, taking place in May at the Modernist Sant Pau venue, with an exhibition of smart toilets, some already featuring integrated health functions.
