The 10th Mutua Universal Awards recognize the most innovative practices applied to occupational health
Mutua Universal, collaborative mutual society with the Social Security Institute, has presented the 10th Innovation and Health Awards, which annually recognize institutions, organizations, or companies associated with the mutual that implement innovative projects to benefit the health and quality of life of workers.
Ten years ago, the Board of Directors of Mutua Universal foresaw that recognizing innovative initiatives in the field of occupational health would contribute not only to the productivity and competitiveness of companies, but also to the health of society as a whole and to the sustainability of the welfare state. Thanks to that effort, today the Innovation and Health Awards have become a benchmark in innovation applied to what matters most to people: our health,” stated Jaime Aguirre de Cárcer y Moreno, President of Mutua Universal.
First Prize for Gonvauto Navarra and Desarrollo de sistemas avanzados.
The industrial group Gonvauto Navarra has been awarded first prize in the Large Company category for implementing digital tools tailored to the safety and health of workers. Infrico received second prize in this category for its digital transformation project aimed at smart management of occupational risks
Meanwhile, the SME in the industrial engineering sector, Desarrollo de Sistemas Avanzados, has received first prize in the Small and Medium-Sized Enterprise category for applying Artificial Intelligence to promote social well-being, efficiency, sustainability, and collaboration within the company. Second prize in this category went to Alimentos Congelados de La Rioja for creating an innovative training space dedicated to workplace safety
European Parliament Office in Madrid and Universitat de Girona – Institutional Award
The institutional recognition has highlighted the work of the European Parliament Office in Madrid in promoting initiatives that foster innovation, health, equality, and European values among citizens. ‘At the European Parliament, equality is a fundamental pillar of all the work we do because it is one of the founding values of the Union and an essential condition for competitiveness and social progress. A fairer Europe will be a stronger Europe,’ stated Julia Borque Sierra, Head of Public Relations at the European Parliament Office in Spain
Likewise, the Universitat de Girona (UdG) has been honored for its ongoing efforts to raise awareness on physical and mental health prevention through the program ‘UdG, a Healthy University.’ ‘This recognition is not only for us; it is for everyone who shares the vision that people must be at the center of all actions and that we must take care of them, because this is what enables progress,’ stated Núria Mancebo, Director of the Occupational Health Office at the Universitat de Girona.
