Andrea is a born connector, very committed to using the power of people, the most intelligent use of new technologies and data, as well as all those new methodologies that allow stimulating innovation in the health and care system.
Andrea, what do you bring to Barcelona Health Hub?
"I bring a backpack full of experiences related to innovation in healthcare, both from the point of view of strategy, processes and, of course, digital transformation. Since my professional beginnings I have worked in this sector, both in Argentina, my country of birth, and then here in Spain, my adopted country for 20 years.
I am fortunate to have participated in large-scale healthcare innovation projects on both sides of the ocean (Latin America and Europe), and to have worked with excellent professionals from different disciplines in different countries from whom I have learned a great deal.
I am sure that my experience, my contacts and my desire to improve people's health through innovation and technology are good assets to share with the great ecosystem that surrounds this wonderful initiative that is the BHH.
In addition to all of the above, I am looking forward to having fun, working in a team, learning new things (and unlearning old ones) and living new experiences with new colleagues."
Can you tell us what do you hope to achieve as a BHH Ambassador?
"I'm very grateful for this mission that has just been entrusted to me, and I hope to contribute to the strategy that BHH has set out to become a digital health hub of reference at a global level. I consider myself a born prescriber and connector, I enjoy helping people to meet each other and generate virtuous relationships. I believe that BHH is an ideal place for these encounters to take place.
My goal is to link the different initiatives that arise within the BHH with other initiatives of different actors in the world, especially with Latin American countries with which I have a very close relationship. Last year I was lucky enough to work together with BHH colleagues Aline, Marja and Inés in the organisation of the first #BHHSummit Iberoamérica 2021 in Spanish, which was a very rewarding experience. We are already working on this year's edition on May 11th, so stay tuned!
